Auto-compress to exactly 50KB. No signup, 100% browser-based and private. Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP — bulk download as ZIP.
Drag & drop or click — Max 50MB each
Most Indian government portals — SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NTA — accept photos up to 50KB. This size also works well for email signatures, WhatsApp profile pictures, and lightweight web thumbnails.
No software, no signup needed.
Drag & drop or select a JPG, PNG or WebP image. Max 50MB per file.
The 50KB target is already configured. You can adjust it or switch to quality mode in settings.
Click "Compress to 50KB". The tool binary-searches for the exact quality that hits your target. Download instantly.
Binary search algorithm finds the exact quality that brings your image as close to 50KB as possible — automatically.
Your images are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Zero data collection.
No queues, no waiting. Compression happens locally on your device in seconds.
Upload multiple images. Each is independently compressed to 50KB. Download all as a ZIP.
All major image formats supported. Convert between formats while compressing.
No signup, no watermarks, no limits. Free forever.
When you set a target of 50KB, the tool uses a binary search algorithm to find the optimal compression quality. It starts at 50% quality and repeatedly halves or doubles the search range — converging on the highest quality that keeps the file under 50KB. For PNG files (which are lossless), it scales image dimensions instead. This typically converges in under 20 iterations, taking less than a second.
For photographs, JPG or WebP format gives the best quality at 50KB. PNG files are significantly larger at the same visual quality — if your image doesn't need transparency, convert to JPG or WebP using the format selector in settings. For images with text or sharp graphics, stay with PNG even if the file is slightly larger, as JPG compression creates visible artifacts around edges.
Very large images (e.g. 10MB+ RAW photos) or highly detailed PNGs may not reach 50KB without significant quality loss. In such cases, the tool compresses to the minimum quality (or minimum dimensions for PNG) it can. You'll see the actual output size in the before/after view. If the result is still over 50KB, consider cropping or resizing the image before compressing.
Common questions about compressing images to 50KB.
Upload your image above and click "Compress to 50KB". The tool automatically runs a binary search to find the exact quality level that brings your image as close to 50KB as possible — no manual slider adjustment needed.
Yes. For PNG files, the tool scales down the image dimensions to reach the 50KB target, since PNG is lossless and ignores quality settings. For JPG and WebP, it adjusts compression quality directly.
It depends on the original image size. A photo originally 200KB looks nearly identical at 50KB if 50 is close to the original. Very large images (5MB+) compressed to 50KB may show visible quality reduction. Use the before/after preview in the tool to compare.
Yes. All processing is 100% browser-based — your photo never leaves your device. This is especially important for ID photos used in government applications. We have zero access to your files.
If your image is already smaller than 50KB, the tool returns it unchanged — no unnecessary quality reduction is applied.
Yes. Upload multiple images and click compress — each image is independently compressed to the 50KB target. Download individually or as a ZIP archive.
